| Mine Son To Give
As I lift my head to rise,
I found my son staring in mine eyes.
Silently as I thought and woke,
His gentle gaze, to me it spoke.
The love betwixt he and I,
Runs deep and high, as to the sky.
He is as me and I as he,
I lift him up, when on mine knee.
The Lord then spoke and told me thus:
To give him up, to Him I must.
Your precious son is needed now,
Release to Me, you'll know when and how.
There I wept, grief unspoken,
The task ahead; my heart was broken.
The Lord then spoke and this He said:
Your son can stay with you untouched,
My Son I Gave; I Loved So Much.
