| The face was beaten, the name
was scorn,
The head was pricked, the skin was torn.
The body stretched out so all could see,
The nails forced through the flesh to the tree.
He died for this world, O people wake up,
He rose from the dead, please drink from His cup.
There's need all around us, can't you see,
Go touch a life, or two, or three.
You think you're suffering and there's little you can do,
But there are so many out there, worse off then you.
He saved your soul, paid dearly for our sins,
Don't sit back and watch the world as it spins.
He died for this world, O people wake up,
He rose from the dead, please drink from His cup.
O, Jesus my Lord, my Redeemer, my Friend,
Search deep in my heart; cleanse it again and again.
To mirror your image is to understand,
Why we must go forth and help our fellow man.
