Step One

Assurance of Salvation

You just made a huge step. You accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, yet there are some things that you question. Did I do the right thing? Am I really saved? Will I really go to heaven? Here are some verses that talk about assurance of salvation:

John 5:24

"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

1 John 5:13

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Titus 1:2

a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,

John 5:24 shows us that if we believe in Christ as our Savior, we have entirnal life.

John 5:13 shows us that the Bible has been written to give us assurance of that life

Titus 1:2 shows that us that life has been given us to God, who cannot lie.
