GOD’S SCHOOL by Joanne Lowe

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”
1 Corinthians 13:11
King James Bible

Most of us have been to kindergarten, grade school, high school, and possibly on to college. We are expected to learn as we advance and are graded according to what knowledge we acquire.

When we accept Jesus into our hearts, then we need to study and learn what Jesus expects from us in the way we live our life and in what we say and where we go and with who we have as our close friends.

There comes a time when we need to let go of our bitterness, resentment, hatred, and criticism of others. For years, I allowed all of these things to keep me from a close relationship with Jesus. Yes, I accepted Him in my heart, but I held on to all these bad feelings toward others that had hurt me.

One day, I realized that I was breaking the Heart of Jesus by not forgiving as He wants us to do. I asked Him to forgive me and ever since then I have had such Joy and Peace flood my heart. Yes, I still get upset and angry when someone hurts me because I am human, but it doesn’t take me very long to forgive that person.

If you are holding on to all these destructive feelings, then I urge you to let them go and allow the Peace and Joy that only Jesus can give to flood your heart. Not only will you have Peace and Joy, you will make the Heart of Jesus happy.
