When we all wake up we need to pray to the Lord that we need the
Armor of God to be ready for Satan‚s attacks on our lives.
Satan can only attack us on these seven areas of our lives. Today
we will be discussing which armor pieces take place in certain areas
of your life. Before we start, lets pray:
Lord Jesus, please send down your spirit to us so we can be
followers for you in attack form. Let us here your word personally
for our individual lives. Lord I ask you to open our eyes, and show
us what Satan can do if we are not with you. Thank you Lord. Amen.
Ephesians 6: 10-11
"Finally, be strong in the lord and in his mighty power.
Put on the full armor of God, so that you may stand against the
ways of the devil."
Conflicts: The Belt of Truth
When the verse was written, God spoke saying "Finally"
meaning throughout the whole bible this should be a very important
subject to study on. In the book of Ephesians, it talks about the
armor of God, but the last chapter "6" recaps a summary
of the book.
Why do you think God wants us to put on our Belt of Truth first?
God wants us to be truthful in all areas in our lives. Satan takes
our weak spots and uses those point to his advantage. We all lie,
but listen God told us to put on the belt of truth first so we can
squeeze it out. When you put on a belt you have a starting point,
then slowly you encircle the situation in "truth." Then
we tighten the belt to a comfortable measure and truth sets in.
So ask yourself:
What area is untruthful in my life? Put on the Belt of Truth!
Emotions: The Breastplate of Righteousness
People hurt us in our lives, but we need not let our emotions hurt
us. Jesus said: " If a man slaps you on one cheek, turn so
he can hit the other." We need our self control. We need a
shield for our heart, a breastplate so when the spears of hatred
shoot toward us, we can still stand. The breastplate of righteousness
is a key part to our emotions, and reactions we choose to do after.
Do you need the breastplate of righteousness?
Schedule: The Shoe of Readiness and the Shoe of Peace
We need to be prompt when going to a place, remember other Christians
and non-Christians look at our lives, and ask if they need God.
Give them what then want. Be ready for the blockades Satan sets
out to slow our lives down for God. Be ready for the peace God has
planned for your lives. God wants peace to be with you, so wherever
you go peace will follow. So be ready for the advantages God has
in store or the disadvantages Satan has planned, and be peaceful
so other will see God when you are around.
Success: The Shield of Faith
This is an important part of the armor of God. Faith is the only
thing keeping the Christian beliefs in place. So if Satan can take
away our faith, and place in doubt then we will loose our faith
and trust in God. Do NOT let Satan take faith from you, for if you
let him, you will doubt the lord and have an uncertain God. Take
your shield and hold it up to the schemes of Satan so God will stay
with you forever and always. Faith is our eternal key, so don't
doubt the lord. " Ye of little faith."
Thought Life: The Helmet of Salvation
Salvation: Preservation or deliverance from destruction, difficulty,
or evil.
Salvation is first, and most hard step of Christians. Salvation
from God is just as the definition says, "deliverance from
destruction." This said, salvation requires strength, faith,
and courage. We alone don't have a magnitute so strong to save ourselves.
We need God to give us His Holy Spirit to give us these things,
for God wants us to be full of Himself!
