Day 36
Read: Matthew 25:1—13
The Bible doesn’t ask what kind of salvation
experience you’ve
had. The Bible doesn’t ask
“When were
you saved?”
The
Bible asks: Are you constant?
Are you rooted?
Not
“Do you have a lamp?”
But
“DO YOU HAVE OIL?”
WILL YOUR LAMP BE BURNING
AT THE MIDNIGHT HOUR?”
Do you have a
faith that will go on praising God
even when everything
crashes down upon your head?
When all things go against you....
When everyone forsakes you....
will you still say, “My God
is
good. His love for me is
perfect. He makes no mistakes!”
Or do you have
the kind of faith that flickers
and wavers when
things get rough.
“I
don’t believe I’m going to pray today,
I don’t feel like it.”
“I think I’ll stop giving to folks in need.
Every time I help someone, things go bad
for me....Nobody helps me out when I need it!”
If you have a
wavering faith that flickers out
whenever it has
to endure and suffer a little...
you have no oil.
Keep your lamp of faith.
But hurry get some oil while there is still
time.
An endless supply is waiting for
you at the Throne of God.
