Day 24
Read: Matthew 9:18—22
You have no claim whatsoever on Jesus Christ
until you first
answer His claim upon you.
Before you can say, “Lord, come and
do this mighty work for me,”
you’ve got to do a little coming
to Him.
Jesus called you first.
“Come unto me all ye who labor
and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest.”
“If any man thirst let him come
unto me and drink.”
“He that cometh unto
me I will
in no wise cast out.”
Before the woman
with an issue of blood could be
healed, she came
behind Him and touched the hem
of His garment.
If you have cried
to your Lord and seemed to
receive no answer,
I would ask you this:
Have you come to Him yet?
Have you really drawn near to Jesus?
Have you touched the hem of His garment?
Don’t just
stand still with your arms folded
and expect Jesus
to come running when you call.
The Son of the
living God has been calling you
since before
the foundation of the world
Answer His call! Draw near to Him!
You will be welcomed by a Saviour who will
bless you more than you could ask or think.
