Day 16
Read: I Thessalonians 5:17
The real measure of your Christianity, after
all, is
not how keen you are on doctrine,
or how well you can express your faith,
or
how convincing you are with others.
The real measure of
your Christianity
is whether you are on such terms with
God that when you pray, you get an answer!
Jacob, Moses,
Elijah, and Daniel were different
from other men
primarily in this respect:
God heard and answered their prayers.
Jesus takes great
pains both by word and example
to teach His
followers to pray.
Jesus will teach
you to pray
if you are willing to be taught.
The minute you prove that you
are willing to be taught,
Jesus will begin to teach.
The minimum cost:
1. You
must make time for prayer daily.
Ample time. Prayer cannot be rushed.
2. You must fix in your heart
everything
Jesus has to say about prayer.
3. Join yourself to praying people.
4. Be sure your words and actions among
men are in the will of the God to whom
you pray.
