Day 1
Read: Luke 7:11-17
Do you see why
Jesus raised that dead man?
Because He saw the mother weeping.
Her broken heart drew Jesus to that
coffin with power to raise her son
from the dead.
When Jesus sees
you weeping for a dead church,
rending your heart,
He will have compassion on you and will
draw near and raise it from the dead.
“Blessed
are they that mourn, for they shall be
comforted.”
Blessed are those
who weep and lament and break
their hearts
before God because the Church has
lost her living
fire, for they shall be comforted.
When He sees our broken hearts, He will
speak once more with the voice that wakes
the dead.
“Therefore now
also saith the Lord,
Turn ye to me
with all your heart
With fasting
and with weeping and with mourning
And rend your
heart and not your garments.
Then will the
Lord be jealous for His land
And pity His
people.
Then shall the
Lord cause His glorious voice to
be heard, and
ye shall have gladness of heart."
